An Open Lesson Integrating Knowledge and Practice
At Open University оа Kyzylorda, a lecturer of the Department of Pedagogy, Inzhu Mukhamedali, conducted an open class on the subject “Psychology” for first-year students of groups PMNO-25-1, PiP-25-1, and Do-25-1 on the topic “Mental Processes.”
The purpose of the lesson was to systematize students’ knowledge about sensation, perception, attention, and thinking processes, integrate theory with practice, and develop critical thinking skills.
During the class, artificial intelligence tools were utilized, and a comprehensive review of the previous lecture was conducted. The “You are…” compliment exercise helped create a positive psychological atmosphere and increase student engagement.
As part of group activities, students prepared thematic booklets and presented their ideas in a creative format. At the final stage, key concepts were reinforced using the “Bee and Honey” matching method.
The open lesson enhanced students’ interest in the subject and contributed to the development of their practical skills.
