Meetings of the Working Sections of the National Kurultai Held in Astana

 

Meetings of the working sections of the National Kurultai titled "Civil Society," "Culture. Art. Spirituality," and "Education and Science" were held in Astana.

The moderators of the sections were Presidential Aide Ruslan Zheldibay, Minister of Culture and Information Aida Balaeva, and Minister of Science and Higher Education Sayasat Nurbek.

At the beginning of the meeting, State Counselor Erlan Karin outlined the main directions of the Kurultai’s activities for the current year. He noted that these directions were defined in the President’s interview with the Ana Tili newspaper in January, as well as in his speech at the expanded Government meeting.

The State Counselor emphasized that, as concrete results of the reforms, unprecedented measures have been taken by the state to support science and education. In particular, the increasing status of scientists in society was highlighted.

During the meetings of the working sections, the progress of implementing the initiatives and proposals of the National Kurultai members was reviewed. Additionally, discussions were held on the development of civil society, strengthening national unity, protecting human rights, cultural and spiritual development, and addressing social issues.
