Challenge "Give a Book to a Friend"

In honor of International Book Giving Day, celebrated on February 14, a special event called "Give a Book to a Friend" was held among library readers.

The event was attended by librarians A. Seyil and A. Egizbayeva, as well as students from the BD-24-1 group of Kyzylorda Open University – H. Saktaganova, A. Sydyk, R. Kairbek, and E. Shyntemirkzy. They contributed to the library’s collection by donating books they had read, including works such as "Kargyn" by D. Isabekov, "The Scent of Wormwood" by S. Muratbekov, "Beibarys", and others. Additionally, students from Kyzylorda Higher Multidisciplinary College, groups VT-24-0 and OP-24-0 – M. Zhorabek, K. Amirova, N. Altynbek, and E. Sabyruly – participated in the challenge. They donated selected works of Kazakh literature, including those by B. Maylin, Ä. Nurshayiqov, T. Aybergenov, and A. Kunanbayev.

Participants of the challenge read excerpts and poetic lines from the works of renowned writers that had inspired them.

The librarians shared wise thoughts from great minds about books and encouraged students to explore the literature available in the library's collection.

The goal of the event was to increase readers' interest in books, emphasize their role in society, and convey the idea that books are a powerful tool for the spiritual renewal of human consciousness.
