We telling 10 facts about Temirbek Zhurgenov

1. Temirbek Zhurgenov was born in 1898 in the village of T. Zhurgenov, Zhalagash district, Kyzylorda region (formerly Zhanatalap).
2. In 1917 he entered the Ufa Land Management College. In 1924, having received his education at the Central Asian State University in Tashkent, he became a talented organizer of educational work. In 1927, he worked as the rector of the First organized Kazakh Pedagogical Institute in Tashkent.
3. T. Zhurgenov supervised the work of cultural and art institutions - headed the Committee for Art Affairs of the Kazakh ASSR.
4. T. Zhurgenov's wife is Dametken Zhurgenova.
5. In 1925, he collected the collection "Terme" in Tashkent. Within ten months, he translates forty thousand lines of Shahnameh Firdousi into Kazakh.
6. Temirbek Zhurgenov built 4,000 schools in Kazakhstan in the early 30s. In Almaty alone, 17 new schools will be opened in the first three years.

8. Temirbek Zhurgenov's main profession is a lawyer. He is fluent in Arabic, Persian, Chagatai, Uzbek, Turkmen, Tatar, Bashkir languages.
9. Several charges were brought against him, such as "enemy of the people, nationalist, anti-Soviet terrorist rebel", and then the court sentenced him to be shot. The sentence was executed on February 25, 1938 at the place of Kandysai, near Almaty. At that time, Yesil was only 39 years old.
10. The Temirbek Zhurgenov Academy of Arts is located in Almaty.
