A book is an inexhaustible spiritual treasure
On November 29, 2024, a literary hour on the topic “Books are an inexhaustible spiritual treasure” was held in the library of the Kyzylorda Open University.
Students from study groups PMNO-24-1, PP-24-1, BD-24-1 of the university took part in the literary hour.
The literary hour was held by the librarian, A. Orynbasar, she noted that reading fiction and literary works enriches the spiritual world of the reader, forms aesthetic taste and moral qualities, and develops intelligence.
The students are presented with the works of Kazakh writers, such as “Ushkan uya” by B. Momyshuly,” “Kerbugi” by O. Bokei, “Sacred Feeling” by Z. Shukirov, “Sign of Shuga” by B. Mailin, as well as “Stepson” by D. Greenwood, which are pearls of world children's literature.
According to these works read by the participants, students of the PMNO-24-1 study group D. Nurai, K. Aveskhan and others shared their opinions.
The purpose of the literary hour is to promote the spiritual and cultural heritage of the Kazakh people from generation to generation, stimulate interest in the library, attract readers, and familiarize themselves with literary works through the formation of cultural values.
